Tool to Identify Near-Duplicate Docs

For document-intensive matters, redundant data and near-duplicate files can be a monster that attacks productivity and efficiency. Document Solutions Inc.’s Rezembler is a free software tool that detects near duplicates. It then groups them according to extracted text from digital files or content from paper files that has been digitized through optical character recognition. The resulting delimited files can then be imported into any review platform for the user to search and quickly see all relationships between documents and their data sets. Rezembler is the first offering in DSi’s Document Examiner software suite. The next add-on will reconstruct e-mail threads. Rezembler can be downloaded at the Document Solutions site.

Firms can also compare actual results against budgets and forecasts, drill down into transactional details and evaluate trends. It can directly connect to Aderant Expert, keeping financial data in sync across networks.

Dashboard Reporting Adds Value to Firm Databases

ieQuery Dashboard provides law firms with updated report generation and dashboard tools to augment their time and billing management databases. The software, originally developed for a Grand Rapids law firm, consists of a simple-to-use set of dashboard reporting modules that allow easy access to information needed to make decisions. From the dashboard, users can generate reports on practice management, conflict of interest, accounting and financial data such as client aged accounts receivable with payment history, productivity analyses by working attorney, unbilled adjustments reports, special rates adjustment reports, special rate review reports and revenue reports. ieQuery Dashboard requires no modifications to a firm’s existing software, and staff can be trained to run reports in less than an hour. Users can save search results or export them to an easily viewed and shared PDF file, further improving a firm’s ability to respond and react to business changes and opportunities.
