Branded Document Assembly in the Cloud
Business Integrity has released ContractExpress.com Version 2. ContractExpress.com is a document assembly product that is delivered exclusively as “software as a service,” requiring no set-up costs or infrastructure. New features include a custom-branded workspace and the ability to generate deep-links to directly launch the intelligent questionnaires that drive the automation process for each document. With these new features, firms can create a public showcase for their capabilities and provide self-service contract creation to important clients via an extranet.

New Site Offers Affordable Way to Try Legal Tech Tools
LawyerToolbox is a new site that helps firms find, learn, acquire and use essential tools and services. The site brings together leading legal technology and services companies and packages their products into complimentary, low-priced bundles. In August the site offered a bundle of five essential tools for litigators, priced at a deep savings compared with the regular cost of purchasing each of the five products separately. The Litigator Bundle included products from Loislaw, a product of Wolters Kluwer Law & Business; Deadlines On Demand from CompuLaw; Nationwide Legal; SmartRules from RealPractice; and Redact-It! Desktop with OCR . Future bundles for technology products and services will be available for substantive practice areas.

Subscription-Based Managed Document Services
DocuLex’s new subscription-based managed document services program provides remote document access, permissions, printing and distribution, enabling secure document warehousing and sharing for practical knowledge management. The browser-based service builds on DocuLex’s SaaS Web-Search, coupled with the company’s automated paper and electronic document capture module, Goby Capture. Services may be scaled for multiple organizations and users, with a monthly fee based on storage volume.

Social Media Archiving
Nextpoint, Inc. Cloud Preservation is a Web archiving service that securely captures and indexes data from Web sites, blogs, Twitter and Facebook feeds. Using the service, users can archive, search and download their Web-based data, more easily managing their intellectual property on the Web and nswering compliance, litigation and regulatory requirements.

Bankruptcy Law App
Thomson Reuters’s Norton Bankruptcy Dictionary for the iPhone offers instant access to relevant terms in bankruptcy law, based on Norton Dictionary of Bankruptcy Terms, 3rd edition. The app provides terms under Title 11 of the U.S. Code, along with its related statutes and federal rules. It includes a search tool and hyperlinked cross-references, as well as hyperlinks to bankruptcy code sections, West Key Numbers and cases within westlaw.com.

Managing Legal Holds
Method is a new Web-based workflow and notification system from kCura. Designed to manage legal hold processes, Method runs on kCura’s e-discovery platform Relativity, and helps users streamline and centralize legal holds to maintain defensibility and mitigate risk. Features include the ability to build unique workflows within the software, including customized hold notices, question sets and e-mail templates. This functionality can also be used to assess business risk for purposes of litigation preparedness. Method is available on-premises or as a hosted solution.
