The ABA Section of International Law provides members, prospective members and others with continuing education to enable participants to keep up to date on international issues; networking and business development opportunities; and a role in promulgating and influencing public policy regarding international law. In addition, the Section has established an International Law Practice Management Forum for managers of global law firms or international practices of law firms to share ideas on issues of importance, including ethics, conflicts, trends in law firm mergers, alternative means of delivering legal services, associations and networks. The Section also publishes a range of books, including the ABA best-seller Careers in International Law, available at www.ababooks.org

ALFA International consists of 125 prominent midsize law firms located in 40 countries that provide focused legal advice, strategy and solutions to their corporate clients. Member firms are located in nearly every U.S. state as well as in Canada, Mexico, across Europe, Latin America, South America, the Pacific Rim and Africa.

The International Bar Association influences the development of international law reform, with a mission of shaping the future of the legal profession throughout the world. Through its various sections and committees, the IBA enables an interchange of information and views among its members as to laws, practices and professional responsibilities relating to the practice of business law around the globe.

The International Law Association has approximately 50 branches worldwide and a growing membership of academics and practicing professionals with an interest in international law. Its main objectives are the study, clarification and development of both public and private international law. It pursues these aims in the work of the various international committees, and biennial conferences provide a forum for comprehensive discussion and endorsement for these committees’ work.

International Law Firms is an international association of independent law firms, with member firms being generally small and midsize. The organization currently includes approximately 70 firms from 40 countries worldwide and holds annual international and regional conferences.

The International Lawyers Network , one of the larger networks of experienced attorneys in the world, provides a platform for clients to access quality legal professionals worldwide. The association consists of more than 90 independent full-service and specialized law firms, with over 5,000 lawyers in 68 countries on six continents.

Lawyers Without Borders is the world’s largest group of volunteer lawyers from around the globe who stand ready to offer pro bono service to international projects and initiatives. Their goal is to provide legal support to rule of law projects and initiatives in the human rights and global capacity-building sectors.

Lex Mundi is an organization of independent law firms providing for the exchange of professional information about the local and global practice and development of law, facilitating and disseminating communications among its members and improving the members’ abilities to serve the needs of their respective clients.

MSI Global Alliance is an international network of independent law and accounting firms that promotes cross-border cooperation between firms, with over 250 member firms in 100 countries throughout the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Entry is restricted to firms that are independent and midsize in their market.

World Services Group is a global membership association whose members are professional business services providers. There are more than 130 member firms representing more than 200,000 clients worldwide. Members operate in more than 115 countries and throughout the United States.
