Winter 2007

Best Wishes to Departing Sta ff

The Section said goodbye to two staff members in the fall.  Lindsay Glauner, Senior Project Attorney for the Death Penalty Moratorium Implementation Project, left the Section in November to join the U. S. Department of Justice as a litigation attorney in the Office of Immigration Litigation.  Since spring 2004, Lindsay’s superb research and drafting skills were elemental to the success of the Project’s state death penalty assessment reports.  Her smarts, humor, and unflappable standard of behavior will be missed by all at the Section.

Assistant Staff Director Emily Hecht left in December 2006 to take a staff attorney position with the Servicemembers Defense Network in Washington, DC, where she will work on cutting-edge litigation on behalf of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons.  In her two years at IRR, Emily established herself firmly as a competent and creative professional.  Her irreverent humor, good company, and ability to laugh hardily at her own jokes will be long remembered.

IRR staff extend their best wishes to Lindsay and Emily in these new and exciting stages of their careers.
