Section Council Member Gloria J. Browne-Marshall recently published an article entitled, To Be Female, Incarcerated, and infected with HIV/AIDS: A Socio-Legal Analysis of the State of Black Female Inmates Living with HIV/AIDS as a chapter in an upcoming book, Women, Race, and the Criminal Justice System. In addition, her article, Modern Africa and Early America: A Comparative Commentary on Constitutionalism will be published in the ILSA Journal of International & Comparative Law.

Section Secretary Paul Igasaki was honored on June 16, with the "Excellence in Government Service Award" by the Mexican American Legal and Educational Fund (MALDEF), during an awards dinner held in Washington, D.C. Paul was recognized for his work as former Vice Chair of the Equal Opportunity Commission .
