On 9/15 /10, the president issued Proclamation 8561, to declare 9/15/10 through 10/15/10 as National Hispanic Heritage Month, calling upon public officials, educators, librarians, and all the people of the United States to observe this month with appropriate ceremonies, activities, and programs. On 9/21/10, the Office of the Chief Information Officer, Department for Housing and Urban Development (HUD), announced a request for public comment on a proposed information collection, the Public Housing 5-Year Annual Public Housing Agencies (PHA) Plan, to provide a framework for local accountability and an easily identifiable source by which public housing residents, participants in the tenant-based assistance program, and other members of the public may locate basic PHA policies, rules and requirements concerning the PHA’s operations, programs and services. On 9/21/10, the Office of the Chief Information Officer, HUD, announced a request for public comment on a proposed information collection, Family Unification Program (FUP), under which vouchers are provided to families for whom the lack of adequate housing is a primary factor in the imminent placement of the family’s child, or children, in out-of-home care; or the delay in the discharge of the child, or children, to the family from out-of-home care. On 9/21/10, the Office of the Chief Information Officer, HUD, announced a request for public comment on a proposed information collection, American Recovery and Reinvestment
Act; Public and Indian Housing Grants Reporting, for which for the recipients of Recovery Act funding are to report on the obligation and expenditure of Recovery Act funding and status of their projects. Comments are due 10/21/10. FR 57492.
On 9/21/10, the Office of the Chief Information Officer, HUD, announced a request for public comment on a proposed information collection, Multifamily Project Monthly Accounting Reports, to monitor compliance with contractual agreements and analyze cash flow trends as well as occupancy and rent collection levels. On 9/21/10, the Department of State announced a request for public comment on a proposed information collection, Refugee Biographical Data Sheet, which describes a refugee applicant’s personal characteristics and is needed to match the refugee with a sponsoring voluntary agency to ensure initial reception and placement in the United States under the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program administered by the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration. On 9/21/10, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Department of Labor, announced a request for public comment on an extension of a currently approved information collection, Application for Training Grant, used by non-profit organizations to compete for award grants to receive short-term training on the proper use of safety and health equipment, and to recognize, avoid, and prevent unsafe and unhealthful working conditions.
