Accessing Your Digital Content

Track your orders online through your My ABA online profile. Select Order History from the navigation bar.

A list of your previously purchased products including downloadable audio, video, and publication titles will be displayed. Simply click on the View Order Details link to view the Order Details page. From there you can click Access Digital Content to gain access to the download. The number of remaining downloads may vary by product.

Access Limits

Access your download eight (8) times for up to 12 months from the purchase date. If you exceed your access limit before one year, please contact the ABA Service Center to have your access restored for the remainder of the access period. For downloadable titles, download and save a copy before the end of the access period.  On-Demand products will not be available after the expiration date and cannot be downloaded.

Download Requirements

E-Books

Most ABA E-Book titles can be read in any application or dedicated e-reader device that supports the .epub or .mobi file format. Some are fulfilled through a third-party vendor (BiblioVault) and require an Adobe ID to obtain the digital rights.

PDF Download (.pdf)

Many books and course materials are available for immediate purchase as downloadable PDF files. After checkout, the PDF file(s) can be accessed through your My ABA page. A link to your downloads is also provided on your order confirmation. Note you will need a PDF reader, such as the free Adobe Acrobat Reader, to open a PDF.

On iPhones and iPads, PDF course materials are best viewed using Adobe Reader app. On Android devices, PDF course materials are best viewed with Adobe Reader app.

Audio/Video Downloads (Streaming/.mp3/.mp4)

The ABA prefers to stream audio/video using the BrightCove Player. Some audio and video files are delivered in zip files that may have multiple components. Once downloaded, double-click on the zip file to unzip and access the content.

To play an MP3 audio or MP4 video file, your computer or mobile device should have media playing applications such as iTunes or Windows Media Player installed.  Some titles may provide video in Windows Media Video format, which requires Windows Media Player.

Live Webinars and On-Demand Content

Most live webinars and online courses produced by the ABA have the following system requirements. Technical requirements may vary, so check instructions on the webinar login page in advance.

ABACLE webinars require:

Test the computer or device you plan to use during the program. Be sure you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.

CLE Credit

Webinar Attendance Requirements

You must attend the entire webinar, including the Q&A, to receive CLE credit. Partial credit is not available for the live program or recording if you access the program late or disconnect. Check a webinar’s website to verify that it is eligible for credit (The ABA does not have the authority to override this requirement.)

Online Course Participation Requirements

You must review the entire online course and record the participation verification code to receive credit. At the conclusion of the recording, a link will appear with instructions for obtaining MCLE certificates. Since certificates are dependent on your participation, this link will not appear if you fast forward during the program. All attorneys must report their attendance per their states' reporting requirements.

CD-ROMs, Audio and Video Downloads

A CLE certificate packet with instructions is included on each CD-ROM and in each audio or video download.  Review the instructions and follow the instructions for your state.  New York and Illinois attorneys must submit the included confirmation form to the ABA for verification and processing. All attorneys must report their attendance per their states reporting requirements.

Downloads and recordings not produced by the Center for Professional Development may provide their certificates and confirmation forms via alternative means.
