The 2021 White Collar Crime National Institute marks its 35th year on March 3-5, 2021. This institute has been attended by leading federal and state judges and prosecutors, law enforcement officials, defense attorneys, corporate in-house counsel, and members of the academic community. The faculty regularly includes some of the top members of the white collar bar in the United States and abroad. Among the audience are nationally renowned lawyers, as well as many who are beginning to concentrate in the white collar area.
Attendees have consistently given the institute high ratings not only for the exceptional quality of its publication, the panelists' presentations, and the valuable updates on new developments and strategies, but also for the rare opportunity to meet colleagues in this field, renew acquaintances, and exchange ideas. The institute will have significant representation from the corporate sector, the federal judiciary, as well as the leadership of the Department of Justice.
This year, each panel will particularly focus on the impact of Covid 19 on the various substantive areas, including government initiatives and investigations to combat fraud related to the virus and new practices resulting from the virus.
Once again, we will have the much acclaimed panel of judges, general counsel, and enforcers panel, the latter consisting of the leadership of the DOJ Criminal and Civil Divisions and the Directors of Enforcement of the SEC and CFTC. In addition, there will be a panel on the impact of Covid on the white collar practice, including the conduct of investigations by prosecutors and grand jury, and the handling of motions practice and trials.
Other Substantive Topics:
General Practice, Solo & Small Firm Committee, Section of Science & Technology Law
