    Program Overview:
2009 was a big year in environmental, energy and resources law, with high-profile issues in the news ranging from climate change to a massive coal-ash spill. To recap the highlights of the past year and trends that will be important in 2010, the Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources is presenting a two-part series of QT's: Part 1 will cover issues other than climate: Part 2 will cover climate related issues.

Aimed at practitioners who want to stay on top of major developments across the field, Part 1 will provide quick summaries of five issues; growing concern about water scarcity; the Supreme Court decision in Burlington Northern v. U.S.; the emergence of the smart grid"; TSCA reform; and the TVA coal ash spill and its regulatory consequences.
