Urges federal, state, local, territorial and tribal governments to provide courts with discretion to allow defendants to remain on bond pending sentencing following a guilty plea or conviction as long as the court finds that the defendant is not likely to flee or pose a danger to the safety of any other person or the community if released, such as by amending 18 U.S.C. § 3143 or similar statutes in other jurisdictions.
