ABA Survey of Civic Literacy 2023 Presentation Event

The Media Relations and Strategic Communications Division will present the fifth American Bar Association Survey of Civic Literacy rollout event on Thursday, April 27, at 1:30 p.m. EDT. Conducted annually in celebration of Law Day, the survey measures the American public’s civics knowledge as well as their views on a range of topical issues, including civility in politics.

This virtual event will feature ABA President Deborah Enix-Ross and a distinguished panel of guests who will discuss the survey results.

Featured panelists:

  • Donna Hicks, Ph.D., an associate at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University and author of "Leading with Dignity: How to Create a Culture That Brings Out the Best in People" 
  • Eugene Meyer, president and CEO of the Federalist Society, a legal organization of lawyers, law students, scholars and others who believe citizens can make the best choices for themselves and society 
  • Judge Adrienne C. Nelson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon and chair of the ABA Cornerstones of Democracy Commission
