CHICAGO, Feb. 19, 2025 — The American Bar Association International Law Section will hold its Asia-Pacific Conference in Singapore Feb. 26-28. The conference will be a unique opportunity to consider the legal challenges in the rapidly evolving geopolitical landscape in the Asia-Pacific. The programs will address rule of law challenges and regional geopolitical trade and legal factors in the context of Singapore as a trading platform.

The list of speakers appearing include a keynote address from Singapore Attorney General Lucien Wong SC, a fireside chat with Minister Kasiviswanathan Shanmugam SC, as well as justices of the Singapore International Commercial Court.
Among the timely issues to be addressed during the conference are artificial intelligence, competition law, corporate/transactions, dispute resolution, legal practice/ethics, restructuring/private wealth, technology and trade and sanctions. Activities around the conference will include a visit to the Singapore Supreme Court Building and dinner at the Singapore Cricket Club.
