ABA law and national security panel offers insights from women lawyers serving in Congress

WASHINGTON, Oct. 22, 2024 — The American Bar Association Standing Committee on Law and National Security will host a discussion with women lawyers serving in the legislative branch on their experience advising congressional members and committees from 5-6:30 p.m. Oct. 24 in the U.S. Capitol.

Panelists include counsels to the Speaker of the House and several House and Senate committees:

  • Ashley Callen, general counsel to the Speaker of the House
  • Meghan Green, general counsel to the House Intelligence Committee
  • Arya Hariharan, deputy chief counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee
  • Wyndee Parker, national security adviser to the House Minority Leader
  • Samantha Roberts, general counsel to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence

Sarah Istel, co-chair of the Women in National Security Law and deputy general counsel to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, will facilitate the panel.
