Nearly 50 ABA entities will participate in the fifth annual ABA Giving Day celebration on Oct. 24. ABA celebrates Giving Day
The website is live to learn more about programs providing free legal services, assisting underserved populations and promoting diversity in the legal profession.
ABA Giving Day is sponsored by the ABA Fund for Justice and Education, the charitable arm of the American Bar Association. Held in conjunction with the National Celebration of Pro Bono — the annual recognition of the collective power of free legal services — ABA Giving Day offers multiple ways you can build a more just society.
With support of ABA members, donors and volunteers around the globe, ABA Giving Day continues to grow, amplifying its impact year after year. Last year’s event raised nearly $400,000 to harness the power of legal services to protect people’s rights and help communities thrive.
Several new ABA-wide challenges are planned for members, including Race to the Top, with the entity with the most donors unlocking an extra $2,500 for their programming, and a New Donor Challenge for the entity with the most first-time donors unlocking $2,500. Also new this year, donors contributing $100 or more will be eligible for a free pair of ABA Giving Day socks.
ABA Giving Day is a powerful reminder of how lawyers and advocates can come together to ensure that legal services are accessible to all. Whether it’s helping unaccompanied minors at the border or promoting diversity within the profession, donations on ABA Giving Day change lives and strengthen the fabric of our legal system.
