Annual Meeting 2024: Anti-Asian hate policy thwarts discrimination

Recognizing that education is a powerful tool to combat anti-Asian hate and discrimination, the American Bar Association House of Delegates adopted Resolution 401 as policy in August 2022 encouraging the development of K-12 curricula that includes the history and experiences of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders.

The success of that action by the policy-making body of the nation’s largest lawyers organization was spotlighted in a video produced for the Resolution and Impact Review Committee.

The video was shown to the association’s governing legislative body on Aug. 6 in Chicago.
