CHICAGO, Aug. 19, 2024 — The American Bar Association Law Student Division (LSD) will observe ABA 1L Week, a yearly event that welcomes and supports first-year law students as they begin their legal education.
Throughout the week LSD will be sharing advice and resources designed to help new law students acclimate to law school, connect with peers and access valuable tools for success in their studies.
Students who register for a Premium Law Student Membership will receive a free eBook copy of “Legal Writing: A Judge’s Perspective on the Science and Rhetoric of the Written Word” and an exclusive ABA stress ball.
The Law Student Division gives law students a wealth of law school advice, career guidance, perks and discounts, networking and more. It provides a diversity of opinions, experiences and voices that connect students to internships, fellowships, contests and study abroad opportunities.
The ABA is the largest voluntary association of lawyers in the world. As the national voice of the legal profession, the ABA works to improve the administration of justice, promotes programs that assist lawyers and judges in their work, accredits law schools, provides continuing legal education, and works to build public understanding around the world of the importance of the rule of law.
