CHICAGO, May 7, 2024 — Randall T. Tesser will receive the 2024 Rosner & Rosner Young Lawyer Professionalism Award from the American Bar Association Center for Professional Responsibility and ABA Young Lawyers Division during the 2024 National Conference on Professional Responsibility in Denver, Colorado, on May 30.
Tesser is an associate attorney at Tesser, Ryan & Rochman LLP in White Plains, New York, where he manages the firm’s professional responsibility and ethics practice and advises a wide range of professionals on matters of ethics, professionalism and disciplinary matters. His clients include attorneys, prospective attorneys, doctors, engineers, architects and insurance brokers.
Prior to joining his current firm, Tesser clerked for the Department Disciplinary Committee for the First Judicial Department in New York, where he assisted with investigations and prosecutions of attorneys suspected of misconduct.
Tesser is a frequent speaker in the fields of legal ethics and professional responsibility. He frequently takes part in the New York County Lawyers’ Association, Civil Trial Practice Institute, training new litigators on ethics and professionalism and serves as a main faculty member at the Fee Dispute Arbitration Training program for New York State’s Joint Committee on Fee Disputes & Conciliation.
An active member of the New York State Bar Association, Tesser serves as an appointed member of NYSBA’s Committee on Professional Discipline. He is a member of the executive committee of NYSBA’s Dispute Resolution Section and chaired its Ethics Committee. He also serves on the Professionalism and Professional Discipline Committee of the New York County Lawyers’ Association. A 2017 graduate of Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Tesser is also a member of the ABA Center for Professional Responsibility and the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers.
