Midyear 2023: ABA House of Delegates rejects changing law school admissions standards

A proposal that would have made law school admissions tests optional is voted down by the ABA House of Delegates after lengthy, spirited debate.

The voice vote sends the admissions-test issue back to the Council of ABA Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar. The policy-making body met on Feb. 6 during the ABA Midyear Meeting in New Orleans.
