WASHINGTON, April 29, 2022 — The American Bar Association International Law Section will host a program on immigration law that will be livestreamed on Monday, May 2 in New York in conjunction with Law Day 2022. Speakers include a federal immigration judge and a high-ranking official at the refugee agency at the United Nations.

During the 90-minute livestreamed program, Richard Towle, deputy director at the UNHCR, the United Nations’ refugee agency, will speak along with Mimi E. Tsankov, a federal immigration judge and the president of the National Association of Immigration Judges. They will be joined by David Satnarine, special counsel for immigrant affairs at the Kings County (Brooklyn) District Attorney’s Office.
Throughout the country, law groups are holding similar programs in conjunction with Law Day, annually commemorated on May 1 to spotlight the role of law in society.
