Annual 2021: Incoming president-Elect issues call for civics, civility and collaboration

Deborah Enix-Ross, the incoming president-elect of the ABA,  challenges lawyers to “restore confidence in the judicial system, fight for the independence of the judiciary and protect the rule of law” at a time when our nation is divided by attacks on the justice system.

Enix-Ross, a senior adviser to the International Dispute Resolution Group of Debevoise & Plimpton in New York City, will become ABA president in August 2022.  She spoke to the House of Delegates during the ABA 2021 Hybrid Annual Meeting on Aug. 10.
