WASHINGTON, July 9, 2021 — Gary Gensler, chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, will be the keynote speaker for the American Bar Association Business Law Section’s Virtual Derivatives and Futures Law Committee Mid-Year Program to be held Wednesday, July 21 online. The conference will also feature speakers from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
Gensler, sworn in as the new SEC chairman in April, will deliver his keynote address from 10-10:30 a.m. EDT. Prior to joining the SEC, he had served as chairman of the CFTC and had been a partner at Goldman Sachs.
