ABA vows justice reform following Floyd verdict

ABA President Patricia Lee Refo vows to expand the efforts of the nation’s largest lawyers’ association to build a more perfect justice system in the wake of the guilty verdicts in the murder of George Floyd. Refo says the nation must continue to address the injustices and racism in our legal system that disproportionately affect people of color.

Former police officer Derek Chauvin was convicted in April 2021 of the murder of Floyd, which had sparked worldwide protests.
