WASHINGTON, April 30, 2020 — The American Bar Association on Friday marks Law Day, the annual celebration of the vital role that the rule of law plays in our society.
This year’s Law Day theme, “Your Vote, Your Voice, Our Democracy: The 19th Amendment at 100,” celebrates the centennial of the constitutional protection of women’s right to vote. As we commemorate the largest expansion of democracy in American history, we explore its relevance to the issues of voting rights and equal rights today.
Understanding our rights and responsibilities is the first step towards engagement, which is critical to our democracy.
