Midyear Meeting 2020: Austin mayor shares solutions for helping the homeless

Mayor Steve Adler of Austin, Texas, kicks off “Defending Liberty, Pursuing Justice Summit: Working Together for Access, Equity and Inclusion,” two days of special programming during the 2020 American Bar Association Midyear Meeting centered on public interest law, with a keynote speech focusing on how lawyers can address societal issues, such as homelessness, through bipartisan discourse grounded in law and policy advocacy.

The ABA Center for Public Interest Law worked with the Center on Diversity in the Profession and the Center for Pro Bono to offer nearly 20 programs on innovations in advocacy and the delivery of holistic legal services and pro bono through a race-equity lens Feb. 14-15.
