CHICAGO, Feb. 7, 2020 — The American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division has partnered with SoFi, an online personal finance company that provides student loan refinancing, among other services, on a Student Loan Relief Scholarship Contest.
Contest applicants will submit an essay answering the question, “How would an ABA SoFi Student Loan Relief Scholarship impact your world?” A panel of judges will evaluate the submissions and select finalists, who will then be asked to submit additional information. Another panel, made up of ABA members and staff, will select the winners.
SoFi has donated $50,000 in loan repayment dollars, of which a grand prize winner will be awarded $30,000, 1st runner-up $15,000 and 2nd runner-Up $5,000.
The contest is open to ABA members and the deadline for submissions is Feb. 29.
