Annual Meeting 2018: Delegates urge laws, policies against gender-based workplace violence

Delegates adopt policy urging governments to adopt and implement legislation and regulations to eliminate, prevent and provide remedies for gender-based violence in the workplace.  The measure also urges all U.S. employers to adopt policies to create workplaces free of gender-based violence, including sexual harassment, by addressing the structural inequalities that permit these violations of human rights to occur.

Resolution 104E was sponsored by the Section of Civil Rights and Social Justice, ABA representatives and observers to the United Nations, the Commission on Women in the Profession and the Commission on Domestic and Sexual Violence.
