ABA President Linda Klein presents the association’s highest honor to former Fordham Law School dean John D. Feerick, who, just two years out of law school, wrote a law review article that led to the 25th Amendment on presidential inability and succession. His central role with the ABA in drafting the amendment and advocacy for its ratification solidified his reputation as one of the finest legal minds of his generation.
The presentation was made during the General Assembly at the ABA Annual Meeting in New York City on Aug. 12.
