NAACP chief legal officer calls on lawyers to find new ways to solve old racial problems

Sherrilyn Ifill, the president and director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, Inc., keynotes the ABA Pro Bono Publico Awards luncheon on Aug. 6 at the ABA Annual Meeting in San Francisco.

The Pro Bono Publico Awards are conferred by the ABA Standing Committee on Pro Bono & Public Service, which provides national leadership in policy, outreach, implementation and technical assistance activities designed to encourage, expand and improve pro bono activities and programs.
