Sweepstakes Rules and Procedures
Description: This is a promotional sweepstakes. Eligible participants will be entered into a random drawing to win one of the following prizes: Dell XPS Laptop with 11thGen i7 Processor, 16GB RAM & 512 GBSSD with Touch Display, MS Office, Adobe, McAfee and 4 Years ProSupport Warranty, Dual Monitors: Two 24" UltraSharp Monitors with a Dual ARM Stand, Dell Docking Station: WD19TB Thunderbolt Dock, Wireless Keyboard and Mouse: Dell Premier KM717, and ten Avis Car Rental Certificates.
Eligibility: This sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of the United States aged 21 and over who receive an email or letter inviting them to participate in the survey. Directors, officers and employees of the American Bar Association, and their immediate families and household members, are not eligible to participate. Only one entry per email address or person.
How To Enter: You will need to complete the survey to be entered in the sweepstakes, and no purchase is necessary to enter. Purchase of any ABA product or service will not improve an entrant's chances of winning. Eligible participants who complete the survey will be automatically entered into the drawing. Sweepstake begins July 1, 2022, at 8:00 am CDT, and all online entries must be received no later than 5:00 pm CDT on June 31, 2023.
Selection and Notification of Winners: Winners will be selected in a random drawing once a month, for twelve months, on or about August 1, conducted by the American Bar Association, whose decisions are final. Prizes will be selected at random at the final drawing on or about July 1, 2023. Winners will be notified by email or mail on or about the 1st of the following month. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within five days from the date ABA first tries to notify him/her, and/or the prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such potential winner forteits all rights to win the promotion or receive the prize, and the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner in a seperate random drawing. Entry and acceptance of prize constitures permission to use winners' names, prizes won, hometowns, likeness and statments and other personally identifiable information for online posting and promotional, advertising, and marketing purposes without additional compensaton or notice, except where prohibited by law.
Prizes and Odds: One Dell XPS Laptop, two Dual Monitors, one Dell Docking Station, one Wireless Keyboard and Mouse, and one of ten Avis Car Rental coupons will be awarded. Approximate retail value of all prizes is $3,400.00. Only one prize per person/household. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Cash equivalent for prizes not available. Prize winners are responsible for all taxes associated with winning a prize. Dell and Avis are registered trademarks.
Conditions of Participation: By participating, each entrant agrees to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, and releases and discharges the ABA, subsidiary and affiliated entities, and each of their respective officers, directors, members, employees, independent contractors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively "Sponsor") from any and all liability whatsoever in connection with this promotion, including without limitation legal claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages, demands or actions of any kind (including without limitation personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light) (collectively "Claims"). Except where prohibited, acceptance of a prize constitutes a release by any winner of the Sponsor of any and all Claims in connection with the administration of this promotion and the use, misuse or possession of any prize. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor is not responsible for errors or for lost, late, or misdirected mail or email, or telecommunication or hardware or software failures, including by reason of any bug or computer virus or other failure. Sponsor may cancel, modify, or terminate the promotion if it is not capable of completion as planned, including by reason of infection by compuer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, force majeure or technical difficulties of any kind.
Announcement of Winners: For a list of prize winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope by July 1st, 2023 to the American Bar Association, Member ID Card Sweepstakes, 321 N. Clark St., Chicago, Illinois 60654.
Opt-Out Option: Any individual may elect to opt-out of receiving future sweepstakes or contest mailings by calling the ABA Service Center at 800-285-2221.
Laws and Regulations: This sweepstakes is governed by U.S. law and all federal, state, local and municipal laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law.
