Description: The Drive the ABA Forward Contest is a promotional sweepstakes. Eligible participants will be entered into a random drawing to win a "free day of car rental" certificate.
Eligibility: This Contest is open to all legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older. Directors, officers, and employees of the American Bar Association (ABA), as well as their immediate families and household members, are not eligible to participate. Only one entry per person.
How to enter: To enter the Contest, participants must leave a comment on the designated social media post on Facebook or Twitter, explaining why they are attending the 2023 ABA Annual Conference in Denver. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Purchasing any ABA product, service, or membership will not improve the chances of winning. The Contest begins on July 3, 2023, and ends on to July 9, 2023, at 12:59 PM.
Winner selection: Winners will be selected in a random drawing conducted by the ABA Marketing staff on to July 10, 2023. The selection of winners will be final and binding.
Prize details: There will be one winner who will receive a "free day of car rental" certificate. The approximate retail value of the prize is $150. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative. The ABA reserves the right to substitute the prize with an item of similar value if necessary.
Winner announcement and notification: The winner will be announced on social media platforms within seven days after the Contest ends. Additionally, the winner will be notified through a follow-up message sent directly to their social media inbox or via email.
Prize claim process: The winner must respond to the notification message within 48 hours to claim their prize. If a winner fails to respond within the specified timeframe, an alternate winner may be selected.
Use of winners information: The winner may be required to provide their full name, contact information, and any other details necessary to claim the prize. By participating in the Contest, the winner consents to the use of their name and likeness for promotional purposes by the ABA.
Technical issue and disclaimers: The ABA is not responsible for any technical issues, network failures, or other problems that may result in the loss or delay of entries.
Social media platform disclaimer: This Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Facebook, or Twitter. Participants understand that they are providing their information to the ABA and not to the social media platforms.
Privacy and data collection: The ABA is committed to protecting the privacy of participants. By entering the Contest, participants acknowledge and agree that the ABA may collect and use their personal information for the purposes of administering the Contest and contacting the winners. The ABA will handle all personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy. Participant data will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent unless required by law.
Disqualification criteria: Participants engaging in fraudulent activities or violating the Official Rules may be disqualified from the Contest. The ABA reserves the right to disqualify any participant if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the participant has tampered with the entry process or violated any applicable laws or regulations.
Governing law and jurisdiction: This Contest and the Official Rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Illinois. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the Contest shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Chicago, Il.
Indemnification: By participating in the Contest, participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the ABA, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from or related to their participation in the Contest or acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize.
Modification or cancellation: The ABA reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or any other valid reason. In such cases, the ABA will provide notice to participants through its official social media channels or other appropriate means. The ABA may also amend the Official Rules at its discretion.
Severability: If any provision of these Official Rules is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
