About Barbara R. Arnwine

Barbara R. Arnwine, Esq, president & founder of the Transformative Justice Coalition, is internationally renowned for contributions on critical justice issues including the passage of the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1991 and the 2006 reauthorization of provisions of the Voting Rights Act. Currently, she also serves as Co-Chair and Facilitator of the National Commission for Voter Justice, the Millennial Votes Matters Convenings and the Voting Rights Alliance.She was the head of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law from February, 1989 until June, 2015 and holds the honorific title of President Emeritus.

She has served as the Charles Hamilton Chair for the North Carolina Central University School of Law from 2016-2017 and has also taught at Columbia University School of Law. She also created the legendary Voting Rights “Map of Shame” in 2011, which exposed the new modern wave of voter suppression in the states.

Her groundbreaking civil rights and human rights advocacy has been honored with many prestigious awards. She is the radio host of Igniting Change and is a regular presence in the national media, and is often quoted in the press. A graduate of Scripps College and Duke University School of Law, she continues to champion civil rights and racial justice issues nationally and internationally in the areas of housing and lending, women’s rights, especially issues affecting intersectionality and African American women and girls, community development, employment, voting, education, policing restructuring, and environmental justice.

About LaKeisha R. Randall

LaKeisha R. Randall is the managing partner of The Randall Firm, LLC, an Atlanta based law firm that specializes in personal injury, family law, and estate planning. The firm serves clients throughout Georgia and Washington D.C.

She has a broad range of litigation experience from complaint to verdict and appeal. A former civil defense litigator, she has won bench and jury trials for Fortune 50 insurance companies, corporations, hospitals, top physicians, and trucking companies and now, individuals.

Known for her ability to quickly and accurately synthesize legal concepts, LaKeisha began her legal career as the Senior Staff Attorney to the judges of the City of Atlanta and has clerked for thirteen (13) trial judges. LaKeisha is a native of southwest Atlanta and a formidable leader in the community. She was the inaugural Young Lawyers Division Chair of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys and served three terms on its Executive Board.

She's led partnerships with the Atlanta Community Food Bank's Legal Food Frenzy to help those in food deserts, volunteered with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, and fought against the school to prison pipeline.

She currently serves on the executive committee of the National Bar Association's YLD--the oldest and largest bar association for Black attorneys in the country. In 2017, she co-authored Her Story: Lessons in Success From Lawyers Who Live It, a collection of essays written by prominent women litigators from across the United States. LaKeisha regularly teaches CLEs regarding litigation, leadership, attorney wellness, and trial practice to lawyers across the country. LaKeisha has held several leadership roles within the ABA, including Presidential Appointments onto the Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs (“CoLAP”). LaKeisha was the youngest CoLAP Commissioner during her terms. CoLAP educates the legal profession concerning alcoholism, chemical dependencies, stress, depression and other emotional and mental health issues.

She was recently selected by the American Bar Association as a 2021 On the Rise Honoree—a designation of the Top 40 Young Lawyers in the country.

LaKeisha is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Alpha Kappa Delta International Honor Society of Sociology, and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.
