The ABA YLD partnered with AccessLex Institute’s Center for Legal Education Excellence to conduct a new student loan debt survey for young lawyers (read the full report). The 2024 Survey updated results from the often-cited 2021 Student Loan Debt Survey and offers new insights regarding the impacts of the pandemic and other issues affecting the financial well-being of young lawyers. The new report also includes several recommendations for law schools and lawmakers to consider. After discussing the new report, the ABA Governmental Affairs Office shares an update on the ABA’s advocacy efforts and plans.
