Lessons for Civil Litigators from Criminal Law

Criminal law isn’t for everyone, but it’s a great way for new attorneys and law students to get experience in the courtroom and learn, hands-on, about the practice of law. Unlike new lawyers getting their feet wet in civil litigation, criminal lawyers are more likely to participate in all areas of the case. Even though criminal law is different, the skills you learn translate to your civil practice.
