Access to education creates a path of opportunity for personal and societal transformation. While there is a common belief that education itself is a primary factor for success and freedom, it is the access to education that sets the framework for transformational change, especially when that access is granted to those to whom it had historically been denied. This is primarily so because education can awaken the dormant dreams of the oppressed or marginalized.
