Kaitland is a litigation associate in Cooley’s New York office. Kaitland’s practice encompasses complex commercial, regulatory, and criminal matters ranging from “bet the company” trade secrets disputes to securities fraud enforcement proceedings. She has represented clients in a variety of forums, including federal and state courts, bankruptcy court, Delaware Chancery Court, immigration court, and the International Court of Arbitration.
In recognition of her pro bono work in the areas of immigration and criminal defense, Kaitland received Cooley’s 2018 Pro Bono Achievement Award for the New York office. Kaitland serves on Cooley’s Associates’ Committee and is actively engaged in the firm’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Prior to joining Cooley, Kaitland attended the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. She obtained her undergraduate degree in political science, summa cum laude, from Hunter College of the City University of New York, where she was elected Phi Beta Kappa.
