Felix Alberto Quintero Vollmer
Felix serves as an Attorney at the Inter-American Development Bank’s (IDB) Legal Department and is based in Washington, DC. He will join the World Bank’s Legal Vice Presidency in the summer of 2020. His practice at the IDB extends from corporate governance, to resource mobilization and intellectual property. He has also served as a Legal Officer at the UN Refugee Agency in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he focused on partnerships. He has also worked as in-house counsel for Shell and interned for Baker & McKenzie in Caracas, Venezuela.
Further, Felix has conducted research as a visiting fellow for the British Institute of International and Comparative Law, and published in the University of Miami School of Law’s Inter-American Law Review. He has been selected as a fellow by the National Endowment for Democracy’s Penn Kemble Forum on Democracy, the Atlantic Council’s Millennium Leadership Program, and the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs’ Robert J. Myers Fund.
Felix holds an LLM in International Law from Georgetown University as well as an LLB and BA in Liberal Arts from Universidad Metropolitana (Caracas). He’s licensed to practice law in Venezuela and New York.
