Monisha, a senior manager in Ernst & Young LLP’s National Tax Department, advises clients on a wide range of U.S. federal income tax issues impacting partnerships.
Monisha plays a leading role in Tax Cut and Jobs Act-related work. She has considerable experience with new Section 199A (the pass-through deduction) and Section 163(j) (business interest limitation). She is one of the authors of the 2019 ABA “Comments on Proposed Regulations under Section 163(j) in Relation to Passthrough Entities and their Owners.”
Monisha is an active member of the ABA. She serves as the CLE chair of the ABA Section of Taxation’s Partnership Committee.
Monisha is also a frequent speaker at conferences and teaches an advanced partnership tax course at the Loyola Law School. She has published extensively on a variety of tax issues.
Monisha holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School.
