Maggie E. Schroedter specializes in commercial litigation, with special emphasis on business disputes, business reorganization, and other insolvency matters. Schroedter represents businesses and individuals as both debtors and creditors under Chapter 7 and Chapter 11, as well as in bankruptcy litigation and bankruptcy appeals before the Ninth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel and the District Court for the Southern District of California. She has experience handling complex business disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, intentional business torts, real estate, preference and fraudulent transfer matters in bankruptcy, breach of fiduciary duty claims and other matters. In 2017, and again in 2018, Super Lawyers® selected Schroedter as a “Rising Star.”
Schroedter also won the San Diego Daily Transcript’s “Young Attorney” award in 2012, and the San Diego Business Journal’s “Best of the Bar” award in 2015. As an active member of the community, Schroedter serves on the board of directors of Lawyers Club of San Diego and as president of the San Diego Bankruptcy Forum. Schroedter graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and earned Dean’s List Honors at the Warrington College of Business. She earned her Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law, where she was a Public Interest Law Journal member. In her free time, Schroedter enjoys yoga, cycling, and spending time with friends.
