Daedrea D. Fenwick is an Associate Attorney with the Atlanta office of Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr, & Smith. Daedrea is an experienced litigator, who focuses her practice on general liability defense, including products liability, trucking and transportation, construction, and premises liability cases. Daedrea has handled cases throughout the state of Georgia, in both state and federal court. Daedrea obtained her J.D. from Texas Southern University, with summa cum laude honors. As a law student, she was an award winning Mock Trial competitor, a member of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review during her second year of law school, and served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Vanessa Gilmore at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Daedrea obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in International Business from Clark Atlanta University in 2005. She has also studied International Law and Policy as part of a study abroad program at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China.
Daedrea is committed to professional excellence. She is an active member of a number of legal organizations, including the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) of the American Bar Association (ABA), where she currently serves as a 2017-2018 TIPS Now! Fellow and she was recently appointed as a Vice-Chair of the Self-Insurers and Risk Managers Committee for the 2018-2019 bar year. Daedrea also serves on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the Committee on Outreach to Young Lawyers within the TIPS Section. Additionally, Daedrea is actively involved in the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the ABA, where she most recently served as a 2017-2018 Vice-Chair of the Minorities In The Profession Committee, and previously served as Vice-Chair of the YLD Women in The Profession Committee. Daedrea is also active in local bar organizations, including the YLD Litigation Section of the state Bar of Georgia, Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys and Defense Research Institute. Daedrea is also active in a number of service organizations, including Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., United Way of Greater Atlanta and Junior League of Atlanta.
