Bryan H. Heckenlively is a litigation partner in the San Francisco office of Munger, Tolles & Olson. Mr. Heckenlively established himself as successful first-chair trial lawyer. He won a jury verdict for UCLA in a case involving the technical security of medical records, a complete victory for Morgan Stanley in an employment arbitration and a complete victory against a certified class following a nearly-three month arbitration hearing.
These results have earned Munger, Tolles & Olson recognition from the Daily Journal, Law360 and The Recorder. Mr. Heckenlively also advises tech clients on cutting-edge privacy and data security issues. Currently, he is lead counsel in a high-profile litigation involving conservative speakers at UC Berkeley where the University largely won a motion to dismiss even after DOJ weighed in on the plaintiffs’ side. Mr. Heckenlively co-chairs his firm’s associate development committee, is involved in leadership roles in local bar organizations and has an active pro bono practice
