Print and review the Assembly agenda and resolutions available at online. ** NOTE: copies of the resolutions will not be distributed at the meeting, so save them on your lap top or pack them for your trip!

Before you leave for New Orleans

Pack business attire and plenty of business cards for networking.

Check out the ABA YLD schedule.  The Division is hosting a number of networking and free CLE sessions.  On Friday, February 3 from 2 PM - 4 PM we are also teaming up with the National Conference of Bar Presidents to hold a national conversation devoted to issues that affect all bar associations.

Come up with a 5 second state, National Affiliate or Military Branch introduction for the Assembly Roll Call  For example, a state slogan, or something related to a well-known person from your state/group such as the following: Don't Mess with Texas; New York is a State of Mind or Sweet Home Alabama For questions regarding the Assembly Roll Call, contact the Assembly Speaker Latanishia Watters.

Upon arrival in Check-in/Certify as a YLD Delegate*

Pick up your name badge and delegate ribbon.   This is a two-step process at the Sheraton New Orleans, 500 Canal Street, Lagnaippe -  2nd Floor,  which you must complete in order to be a delegate.  First, you must pick up your name badge at ABA Registration. Second, you must pick up your delegate ribbon by signing in at the ABA YLD Delegate Check-in/Certification Table in the Lagniappe Room.  Hours are:

Thursday, February 2, 8 AM – 5:30 PM

Friday, February 3, 8 AM – 5:30 PM

*Delegate Check-in/Certification will also be open for limited hours Saturday, February 4, 7 AM – 8 AM at the New Orleans Marriott,  Mardi Gras Ballroom Foyer for any who were not able to certify as delegates on Thursday or Friday at Sheraton New Orleans. 

Note: You must have your name badge in order to check-in/certify as a Delegate.  ABA Registration will not be open until 8 AM on Saturday so you must pick up your name badge before 5:30 PM on Friday.

On Saturday, February 4, 9 AM12 PM

Attend the Assembly Meeting in business attire. The Assembly is at the New Orleans Marriott, Salon D/E/F/G/H. Delegations are seated by district and national affiliate. You may only sit and vote with your delegation if you have your name badge and delegate ribbon.  Be sure to bring:

1.       Name badge
2.       Delegate ribbon
3.       Assembly agenda and resolutions
