Nisha Parekh (she/they) is a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Labor in the Los Angeles Regional Office, litigating against employers who violate federal employment law. She recently helped resolve several cases against California poultry processors, including employers of child workers, winning strong injunctive remedies and over $7,000,000 in damages for workers. Nisha graduated from UCLA in 2017 with a dual JD and master’s in public policy, specializing in public interest law and critical race studies. She is a 2009 Fulbright Scholar to Brazil, with a dual bachelor’s and master’s in international relations from the University of Southern California (2007). Nisha lives in Honolulu, Hawaii, with her wife, dog, and two cats.
