Manal Cheema

Manal Cheema is a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy JAG Corps. She has served as a staff judge advocate, trial attorney, and legal assistance attorney in Japan and Guam. She also went underway for 5 weeks with the USS RONALD REAGAN, supporting Commander Task Force SEVEN ZERO. In May 2024, Manal was named the Naval Legal Service Command Junior Officer of the Quarter for the civil legal assistance she provided to service members and families stationed in Guam and her support of the prosecution of an international drug ring. Manal received her B.A. from Tufts University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. Before entering active duty, she clerked for Chief Judge Kevin A. Ohlson on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
