Zachary Avallone has nearly 10 years of civil litigation experience, including both government and private practice. In his current role at DOJ, Zach serves as first-chair in some of the federal government's most high-profile and sensitive litigation. And his DOJ matters cover a wide array of topics, including border security, debt ceiling, COVID-19 vaccination requirements, 3-D printed guns, civil claims arising from terrorism, and issues of separation of powers. Prior to federal service, Zach was a litigation partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he handled business disputes, securities litigation, consumer class actions, and water rights.
