As a partner at the nation’s first Supreme Court litigation boutique and co-founder of Goldstein, Russell & Woofter, Daniel has served as lead counsel at every federal and state court level. Recently, he successfully petitioned the Supreme Court on behalf of a Texas inmate who was convicted of capital murder based on faulty DNA evidence. Daniel was also part of the core team that negotiated a historic consent decree with the Minneapolis Police Department in the wake of George Floyd's murder, requiring transformational changes to address MPD's pattern and practice of racially discriminatory policing. Aside from practicing law, Daniel teaches at Georgetown University Law Center and chairs the ABA's Death Penalty Due Process Review Committee.
