Meeting Preview: Fall Meeting in Dallas, TX

By Briana M. Montminy

Finally, TIPS is meeting in person again! The TIPS Fall Meeting will be held in Dallas, Texas on October 13-16, 2021, at the Four Seasons Resort and Club, Dallas at Las Colinas. For those of you that have been around TIPS for a while, you will remember going to the Four Seasons for the Fall Meeting in October 2010. Personally, I remember that meeting well because it was the first meeting for my Leadership Academy Class. I hope to see all my 2010-2011 Leadership Academy classmates and friends in Dallas.

This meeting will offer many opportunities to reconnect with friends and colleagues. In addition to committee meetings, attendees will get together at the Welcome Reception and at the dinner reception on Saturday evening. The Diversity Committee is planning an outreach event for a local middle school, and don’t forget to bring your sneakers if you want to participate in the annual kickball tournament on Friday afternoon. The Section’s next Leadership Academy Class will also meet for the first time.

For those of you that have been to the Four Seasons previously, you know it is a beautiful resort where you can spend time by the pool, on the golf course, relaxing in the spa, sipping a beverage in the Tap Room, or hitting the gym in between all those business meetings and networking opportunities. If you have some downtime, you may also want to check out the John F. Kennedy Memorial, the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, Perot Museum of Nature and Science, or the Dallas World Aquarium. And don’t forget to eat some TexMex and BBQ.

I hope you will join us in Dallas so you can reconnect with your friends and colleagues. I cannot wait to see you all in person, instead of in that square box on my computer screen.
