With a global pandemic, environmental concerns, national civil unrest, high unemployment rates, housing crises, and financial insecurity sweeping the nation, now is the time for the helpers to shine. The Law in Public Service (LIPS) Committee plans and implements real action to effect positive change. As chairs of LIPS, we welcome all TIPS members (and anyone else) to get involved with LIPS activities as we endeavor to be ‘helpers’ during a fraught time in our nation.

TIPS Public Service Project

TIPS Law in Public Service and Animal Law Committees have partnered with the Baltimore Animal Rescue & Care Shelter (BARCS) for a public service project during the 2022 TIPS Section Conference in Baltimore. Volunteers will have the choice to either walk dogs or socialize cats. Casual attire recommended, but long pants and sneakers or boots is required. Volunteers must be 18 years or older to participate. Volunteer spots are limited. Transportation between the hotel and shelter will be provided.
