This committee addresses the unique management and practice needs of insurance staff counsel.
The Staff Counsel Committee's mission is to provide education on trends, practices, and unique issues involving Staff Counsel in the insurance industry and defense bar through professional development and CLEs. We meet this goal by providing important updates on case law, Staff Counsel and legislative issues. The committee also strives to be very active in community service and continuously promote diversity while encouraging greater Staff counsel involvement in TIPS.
The Staff Counsel Committee develops, but does not limit, its membership from insurance company in-house or staff counsel programs. We provide continuing legal education in the areas of ethics, management and trial techniques. The committee also holds monthly phone calls.
