2021 Midyear Tax Meeting to Be Virtual

The Tax Section will offer its next Midyear Tax Meeting in virtual format on January 25–29. The Virtual 2021 Midyear Tax Meeting will replace the meeting previously planned to be held in Los Angeles.

The virtual meeting will provide in-depth CLE sessions designed to give a comprehensive overview of the latest federal, state, and local tax policies affecting your practice. Program schedule information is available, and registration is now open.

“We are excited to offer this Midyear Tax Meeting in virtual format,” said Section Chair Joan C. Arnold. “We listened hard to all of the comments from our first Virtual Fall Tax Meeting, and we are eager to improve the attendee experience by adding multiple networking events to our quality CLE offerings on a new, more reliable platform.”

The Virtual 2021 Midyear Tax Meeting will feature a Monday evening welcome reception, a Tuesday morning plenary session, and a Friday afternoon Women in Tax Forum event. The Tuesday plenary session will include a keynote speaker to be announced, as well as presentation of the 2020 Distinguished Service Award (postponed from the 2020 May Tax Meeting), the 2021 Janet Spragens Pro Bono Award, and the 2021 Law Student Tax Challenge winners.

Tax Section committees are also developing networking opportunities surrounding the virtual meeting dates. Details will be announced soon.
