Registration Policy

Any individual attending any part of the Conference, regardless if he or she speaks, must register and pay the registration fee.
Shared registrations are not permitted. Companions are defined as persons not attending substantive sessions (Receptions only).

Cancellation and Refund Policy

All cancellations and requests for refunds of registration fees or ticketed event fees must be received in writing and postmarked, faxed or emailed by March 28, 2019 to receive a refund. All refund requests will incur a $50 cancellation fee. Absolutely no refunds will be granted after the March 28, 2019 deadline. To request a refund or substitution, please e-mail the Tax Section (taxmeeting@americanbar.org).

Scholarship Information

Scholarships to defray tuition expense for this program are available upon application on a case-by-case basis. To request a scholarship application, please e-mail the Tax Section (taxmeeting@americanbar.org). Scholarship applications must be received no later than 30 days prior to the program. For programs with tuition costs over $500, qualifying attorneys will receive at least a 50% reduction in the registration fee.

CLE Information

The ABA will seek 13.5 hours of CLE credit in 60-minute states and 16.2 hours of CLE credit for this program in 50-minute states. Credit hours are estimated and are subject to each state’s approval and credit rounding rules. For more information please the MCLE information page.

CPE Information

The American Bar Association is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
